1. Introduction
Welcome to autonomy.paris (the “Site”), operated by Autonomy, a company registered in France with its registered office at 10 rue de Penthièvre, 75008 Paris, France. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Services
The Site provides information about Autonomy’s events, summits, content, webinars, ecosystem maps, newsletters and related services (the “Services”). Autonomy reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any Service or part thereof at any time without prior notice.
3. Use of the Site
3.1 You agree to use the Site for lawful purposes only and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.
3.2 You must not:
- Use the Site in any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Use the Site in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other computer systems through the Site.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 All content on the Site (text, graphics, logos, images, audio‐visual material, downloads) is owned by or licensed to Autonomy and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights.
4.2 You may download or print one copy of the content for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep all copyright and other proprietary notices intact. Any other use (including copying, reproduction, transmission, distribution, modification, or creation of derivative works) is prohibited without Autonomy’s prior written consent.
5. Registration, Tickets and Payments
5.1 When users register for events or purchase tickets via the Site, they agree to provide accurate and complete information and to update such information to keep it accurate.
5.2 Payment for ticket purchases shall be made in accordance with the payment terms specified at the time of registration. All sales are subject to these Terms as well as any additional event-specific terms published at time of registration.
5.3 Cancellations, refunds and transfers will be handled according to the event’s published policy. Autonomy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events and will use reasonable endeavours to notify registrants in such cases. Autonomy’s liability for cancellation or rescheduling is limited as set out in clause 8.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Autonomy excludes all liability for:
- any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of the Site or inability to use the Site;
- any errors or omissions in the content of the Site;
- any loss or damage arising from any malfunction or unavailability of the Site.
7.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Autonomy’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Autonomy harmless from and against any claims, damages, costs or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your use of the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
9. Privacy and Cookies
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which together form part of these Terms. By using the Site you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as set out in those policies.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
11. Changes to the Terms
Autonomy may revise these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Site. The revised Terms will take effect from the date of posting. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of the revised Terms means you accept the changes.
12. General
12.1 If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
12.2 These Terms together with any event-specific terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Autonomy in relation to your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreement in relation to your use of the Site.
