Founded in 2015, Autonomy is an independent French company dedicated to improving the way we move in cities. Its ambition is to promote smart and sustainable urban mobility by offering a platform that gathers innovative mobility companies and government decision-makers.
Autonomy’s annual event combines a trade show, a series of conferences and workshops, industry talks, and pitch sessions. The 2019 edition brought together more than 8,000 visitors, 150 speakers, 200 exhibitors, with over 70 countries represented.
The fifth edition of Autonomy will take place 4-5 November 2020 in Paris at the Grande Halle de la Villette.

With more than 15 years of experience in the organisation of trade fairs and events in France and abroad, notably at Reed Exhibitions and GL Events, Pascal Melet joined Autonomy in 2019.
Pascal’s objective is to support Autonomy & The Urban Mobility Summit towards a new stage of its growth by strengthening its international leadership. This will increase the platform’s ability to unite public and private decision-makers from all over the world around intelligent and sustainable mobility.
CEO & Founder
South African entrepreneur Ross Douglas began his career directing documentaries on wildlife protection in sub-Saharan Africa, notably for National Geographic. In 2008, he created the FNB Johannesburg Art Fair, the first contemporary art fair in Africa and the largest annual gathering of the African arts community.
Passionate about mobility, he then decided to use his international experience and event skills to encourage sustainable city living through intelligent transport! In 2015, he created Autonomy and chose Paris as the venue for one of the main European summits dedicated to new mobility.
