GET OUR CITIES MOVINGThe conference program dedicated to cities and public decision-makers
In partnership with POLIS, Get Our Cities Moving is the new initiative created by Autonomy to provide cities and local governments with the most innovative solutions best suited to their current and future needs.
Thanks to the expertise of POLIS Network, which brings together European stakeholders to make research and innovation in the field of transport accessible to cities and regions and coupled with Autonomy’s expertise in the urban mobility sector, the Get Our Cities Moving program addresses the key challenges and needs of cities in terms of mobility.
Cities shape the future of mobility
Cities occupy 2% of the planet’s surface, yet they generate 80% of the world’s GDP and 75% of greenhouse gas emissions. By 2050, almost 70% of the world’s population will live in cities, compared to 55% today. Major challenges are concentrated in cities – growing urbanization, congestion and pollution, and changes in customer behavior, which deeply impact cities’ mobility policies.
Cities are most relevant places to tackle these challenges and implement sustainable and innovative solutions to meet the needs of citizens. The increasing demand for a reduction in commuting time and access to multimodal mobility solutions opens up new market opportunities and stimulates innovation.
New urban mobility is becoming a core political issue both in France and in the EU. We believe 2019 is a key year to communicate urban mobility issues and foster these values: promoting clean and sustainable urban mobility through collaboration between cities, governments and the industry.
Cities are looking to:
- Gain insights on mobility issues and businesses
- Find innovative, inclusive, multimodal urban mobility solutions
- Network with an international ecosystem of innovators, industry players and fellow policymakers
- Communicate their achievements
