PT - SUMMARY

As a part of the ambitious GoodMove plan (the Brussels Regional Mobility plan) to reduce traffic on local roads by 35%, become carbon neutral by 2050, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 47% - STIB was mandated by Brussels Mobility to create Floya - the innovative Mobility as a Service (MaaS) application delivered by Trafi, set to transform the way people move in Brussels. Floya seamlessly integrates various modes of transportation, including walking, cycling, scooters, buses, trams, metros, trains, shared cars, and taxis. Its purpose is to diminish the dependence on private vehicles, offering a comprehensive and interconnected alternative to city travel. Key Features of Floya include: 1. Unified public transport, bikes, scooters, and car rental services 2. Intermodal routing for efficient journey planning 3. In-app ticketing purchase 4. Deep-level integrations with MSPs such as TaxiVert, Cambio, Villo, Bolt, Dott, Poppy, TIER, Le TEC, SNCB/NMBS, STIB/MIVB 5. Real-time schedule updates for accurate planning 6. Driver’s License ID Verification for enhanced security Floya is a pivotal step to achieving the sustainable mobility goals outlined in the GoodMove plan. It addresses the needs of the community but also aligns with the long-term vision of creating a carbon-neutral urban environment, making Floya an exemplar in the realm of urban mobility solutions.
