Road Safety Specialist
Adriana Jakovcevic is a Road Safety Specialist in the Active Mobility team of WRI Brasil. She works to give support to Buenos Aires City to achieve Vision Zero in the context of Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety. She engages with local authorities, collects data for accomplishing workplans and identifies potential support activities. She develops technical reports and guidelines for the City and organizes seminars and capacity building workshops. Adriana previously worked as Manager of the Road Safety Observatory of Buenos Aires City developing its road safety data system. She has done research on environmental and traffic psychology to understand how to encourage citizens’ sustainable behaviors, especially those related to mobility. She has also evaluated the impact of infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists on their comfort and safety perceptions. Her work was published in Journals as Transportation Research part F and Journal of Environmental Psychology. Adriana holds a PhD in Psychology from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. She has completed a postdoc in Environmental Psychology in CONICET and the University of Groningen.
